Our role across this body of work was not just to document the events, but to help tell the story connecting them.
We worked closely with Inatai’s communications team to understand the goals for each gathering, shape interview questions, identify key themes, and center the voices of community leaders in each region.
On the ground, we filmed sessions, interviews, informal moments, local landscapes, and the spaces where people were building connection. Each piece was shaped around the feeling of its region while staying connected to the larger statewide vision.
The Shaping the Future convenings were never only about what happened in the room. They were about the learning, listening, and ongoing work that happens between gatherings.
The final body of work gave Inatai a flexible collection of storytelling assets that could be used across event recaps, social media, public communications, internal reflection, and future gatherings.
More than event coverage, the videos became a living archive of the Shaping the Future series. They show how community power is built across Washington, not in one region or one room, but through many communities leading at the same time.
Together, the pieces help carry the energy of the convenings beyond the people who were there, showing what it means to lead with care, show up with purpose, and build power alongside others.
Worked with Inatai’s team to shape the creative approach, interview questions, key themes, and regional storytelling priorities for each gathering.
Filmed regional convenings across Washington, including interviews, facilitated sessions, b-roll, local landscapes, and informal moments between participants.
Edited documentary-style recaps, Spanish versions, social media cutdowns, and additional assets to support Inatai’s ongoing storytelling across platforms.
