Both stories began with listening. Babies of Homelessness connected us with Amy and Joy - two mothers who generously welcomed us into their homes and into their lives. Our role was not to explain their circumstances but to hold space for them to speak in their own voice, on their own terms.
In A Tale of Two Mothers, we explored the shared tenderness of parenting while acknowledging the realities that make each mother’s experience different. Through parallel storytelling, we highlighted the contrast in access, support, and stability that shapes so many families' lives. At the center of it all was love.
The films were created to support Babies of Homelessness’s fundraising and awareness efforts. They’ve been shared at donor events and across digital platforms, offering audiences a more nuanced and human look at homelessness through the eyes of mothers.
More than anything, the videos aim to create empathy and shift perception. They are reminders that resilience does not always look loud, and that strength often shows up quietly, in morning routines, in open arms, in the courage to share your story.
